Privacy Policy

Plain-language summary

Plannr.do is built to hold your life without becoming a business built on it. Your content syncs to your own private account so it's on every device you use. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we collect only what's needed to run the service.

Synced and backed up. Everything you create is saved to your private account and kept on every device you sign in on.
Encrypted in transit. Your data travels over encrypted connections and is reachable only by your authenticated account.
No ads, no data sales. Pro subscriptions fund the product, not advertisers.
Export anytime. Your whole dataset downloads as a plain JSON file whenever you want.
Connected calendars stay read-only. If you connect Google Calendar, Plannr.do can read your events and nothing else — it can never change or delete them.

1. Who we are

Plannr.do ("Plannr", "we", "us") is an independently built product, operated by the small team that makes it. We are the data controller for the limited account information described below. For any privacy question, email contact@plannr.do — it is a real inbox and we read every message.

2. What we collect

We deliberately collect very little. In practice, that means:

Account information

Email address — so you can sign in, verify your account, and so we can reach you about it.
Authentication data — a securely hashed password, or a token from the sign-in provider you choose.
Subscription status — whether you're on a free trial or a paid subscription, and your billing period. Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor; we never receive or store your full card number.

Technical and diagnostic data

Basic, aggregated logs needed to keep the service running and secure — for example error reports and sign-in events. We keep these minimal and free of your actual content.
Usage analytics — which pages of this site and which sections of the app you open, which controls you use, and errors the app runs into. These records are tied to your account identifier, never your email address, and they never contain the content of anything you write: no task or journal text, no amounts, no contact details. We use them to understand which parts of Plannr are worth building on.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

Cookies and local storage. We set no advertising cookies. We do set one first-party cookie on plannr.do, used only by the usage analytics described above so that a repeat visit is recognised as the same person rather than counted twice. Separately, the app stores your content in your browser’s local storage so it opens instantly and keeps working offline. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes both.

3. Your content

The tasks, habits, notes, transactions, contacts and everything else you enter into Plannr are your content. It is stored in your own authenticated space in our cloud infrastructure and cached on your device for speed, so your setup is the same everywhere you sign in.

Your content is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored encrypted at rest, and access is restricted to your authenticated account. We treat it as private to you: we do not read it to build profiles, serve advertising, or train models. It is not end-to-end encrypted, which means we hold the technical ability to access it — we restrict that access to what is needed to operate the service, investigate abuse, or comply with a legal obligation.

4. How we use your data

We use the limited data we hold only to:

Provide, maintain and secure the service and your account;
Verify your email address and let you sign back in;
Process your Pro subscription and prevent fraud;
Respond to your support requests;
Comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.

5. Where your data lives

Your content, your email address, your authentication record and your plan status are stored with our cloud hosting and database provider, acting as our processor, on infrastructure inside the European Union or the United States. A local cache on each device keeps the app fast and available between syncs.

Server-side access controls restrict your content to your authenticated account, and paid-tier data to accounts with a valid subscription. You can export your data at any time, and request deletion of your account and its stored copy (see Your rights).

We share data only with service providers who help us run Plannr, under contracts that limit them to that purpose. By category, these are:

Cloud hosting, authentication and database — stores and syncs your content, account record and plan status;
Payment processing — handles your card details directly, so we never see them;
Transactional email delivery — sends verification and account emails to your address;
Product analytics — records the usage data described in section 2, on servers in the European Union.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the service.

7. Connected calendars (Google)

Connecting a Google Calendar is optional, and nothing here applies unless you choose to. When you do, Plannr.do asks for two permissions and no others: see the list of calendars you are subscribed to, so you can pick which ones to bring in, and view events on your calendars. Both are read-only. Plannr.do cannot create, change or delete anything in your Google Calendar, and never asks for permission to.

What we store. A connection token, held on our server, never sent to your browser and not readable by any app or device; and the email address of the connected account, so you can see at a glance which one is attached.
What we do not store. Your events are not kept on our servers. They are read from Google when you open Plannr.do and cached on your own device so your calendar draws instantly.
What we never do. Calendar data is never sold, never shared with third parties, never used for advertising, and never used to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
Disconnecting. Disconnecting inside Plannr.do withdraws our access at Google and deletes the stored token, and the cached events on your device go with it. You can also revoke access yourself at any time from your Google account.

Plannr.do's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

8. Data retention

We keep your account information and synced content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise it within 30 days, except where we must keep limited records to meet legal or accounting obligations. Locally cached copies are removed when you clear your data or sign out on that device.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR or similar laws — you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. At any time you can:

Export your entire dataset as JSON from inside the app;
Clear your data from Settings on any device;
Request deletion of your account and its synced copy by emailing contact@plannr.do.

We respond to verified requests within the timeframe required by the law that applies to you. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS) in transit, encryption at rest, and access controls that restrict your content to your authenticated account. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what we hold and to limit how much of it exists in the first place.

11. Children

Plannr is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. When we make material changes we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Plannr after an update means you accept the revised policy.
