Weekly review checklist
A twelve-item weekly review you can actually finish in twenty minutes. Saves your progress, resets each week, printable. Free, no signup.
A weekly review is the difference between a system you keep and one you abandon in February. It takes twenty minutes and it is the single highest-leverage habit in any planning setup, which is exactly why it is the first thing people drop.
This checklist remembers where you got to, and resets itself each week. Nothing leaves your browser.
Why twenty minutes beats two hours
The elaborate review is the one you skip. If your ritual needs a free Sunday afternoon it will survive three weeks. The version above is deliberately short enough to do badly on a bad week, which is the only version that lasts.
The step everyone skips
Deciding what you are not doing. Most reviews are additive: you look at what is outstanding and roll it forward, so the list only ever grows, and by March it is long enough to be depressing rather than useful. A review that never deletes anything is just a guilt archive.
Doing this when your life is in five apps
Most of the checklist above is reading: the calendar, the spending, the habits, the goals. If each of those lives in a different app, a twenty-minute review becomes an hour of tab-switching and you quietly stop. That friction, not discipline, is what kills the habit - which is the argument for having those views in one place more than for any particular review format.
