What the capture box understands

The capture box is a small on-device parser. It scans what you type for a few signals — an amount, a date or time, a person's name, a keyword — and uses them to decide which section the item belongs in and how to fill its fields.

The signals it reads

• Amounts like 4.50 or $120 suggest a Finance transaction.
• Dates & times like tomorrow 7am, Fri, March 3 suggest a Calendar event or a due date.
• Names like call Sarah tag the item to a person in your Network.
• Action words like buy, email, finish lean toward a task.

How routing decides

The parser weighs those signals together. coffee 4.50 has an amount and no date, so it's an expense. coffee with Mia friday 10am has a time and a person, so it's an event tagged to Mia. When two readings are plausible, the live preview shows its best guess and lets you switch before you commit.
